David M. Augenstein, BSChE, MSc, PEng.
David (aka Mr. Augie) is a chemical and environmental engineer, educator, entrepreneur, author and publisher. He is Founder and co-director of the Foundations for Health Education, a non-profit professional association engaged in several projects. He has had a forty-year career as a licensed engineer and an environmental specialist in industry and public health. In the past ten years, he has conducted many seminars in natural food and health topics and is publisher of the Journal of Natural Food and Health (internet) and the paper Living Food and various paper bulletins and internet campaigns on vaccination choice, fluoride and raw milk.
He is founder of Automotive Environmental and Safety Engineering (since 1991) and creator of its current AESE Online subscription service that includes his five environmental and safety compliance and best practices manuals. He has provided his guidance manuals to over 20,000 locations in 4000 organizations including Toyota/Lexus, GM, Ryder, Firestone, Marathon Oil Co., US. Postal Service, Air Force National Guard, Strategic Air Command. As Founder and Chairman of the Environmental Resource Institute (1990s), he developed and hosted 20 national and regional conferences and has hosted key managers from nearly every major oil, automotive and transportation companies in America and has been a featured speaker at annual conferences of many national trade associations. He has published over 20 conference proceedings and a national EnviroLine newsletter for ten years, eLine and numerous guest columns in trade publications.
David is a designated Kentucky Colonel by the Governor and Secretary of the State of Kentucky in recognition of outstanding service to the state. In addition to his career in the environmental, health and safety field, his early education in mathematics, chemistry, physics and biblical research helped form his philosophy of food, health, agriculture and environmental stewardship. He and his wife, Annie, are parents of a 27-year-old son who is partially recovered from autism and are interested in various methods for recovery from and prevention of neurological disorders. They reside in NE Ohio at the edge of the world’s largest settlement of the Amish people and frequents many sustainable farms there and around Ohio.
Ann is a co-Director of FHE and for the past 6 years has assisted her husband, David, in publishing Living Food and peer-reviewed health fact sheets on fluoridation, vaccinations and raw milk. She is an assistant editor of the Journal of Natural Food and Health. For the past 10 years she has studied nutrition and has mastered basic preparation methods of enzyme-rich, nutrient-dense food groups. Together with David she has conducted many seminars on preparation techniques including sourdough breads, fermented vegetables and dairy products. They are the parents of an autistic son born in 1987.
Pete is an attorney and serves as president of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund. He has assisted and represented dairy farmers facing possible enforcement action in various states as well as helped others to get started in the business of distributing raw dairy products. Pete compiled the state raw milk law summaries posted at www.realmilk.com and has since written articles for Wise Traditions on raw milk distribution. He is currently working with others to challenge the federal ban on the interstate shipment of raw milk for human consumption.
Alan Phillips, J.D.
Alan is a leading U.S. vaccine rights attorney. He advises individuals, families, attorneys, groups and organizations throughout the U.S. on vaccine exemption and waiver rights; supports legislative initiatives aimed at expanding vaccine freedom of choice; is published internationally on vaccine health and legal matters; and appears regularly at rallies, conferences, and on radio discussing vaccine rights issues. Alan hosts or co-hosts three weekly radio shows broadcast on BlogTalkRadio, Freedomizer Radio, Natural News Radio, and Unbound Radio, and is a regular monthly guest of two other radio shows, talking about vaccine rights. Alan is also a regularly featured writer for Natural News, GreenMedInfo.com, Liberty Roundtable, and the Pastoral Medical Association.
Alan is a Board Member of the American Holistic Medical Association, the World Association for Vaccine Education, and the Pastoral Medical Association; an Advisory Board Member of the American Chiropractic Autism Board, a co-founder of North Carolina’s Citizens for Healthcare Freedom, and an Associate and Legal Adviser to Source Force, Inc. (a caring ministry for poverty AIDS and terminal cancer victims), and an Advisory Counsel Member of Thai Healing Alliance International.
Kathryne Pirtle is the clarinetist and executive director of the Orion Ensemble, which gives three concert series in Metropolitan Chicago, presents a live, internationally broadcast series on Chicago’s WFMT-FM Fine Arts Radio Network and tours throughout North America. She is principal clarinetist of the Lake Forest Symphony and frequently performs with the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra, the Grant Park Music Festival, The Ravinia Festival Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Pirtle has co-authored a book with Dr. John D. Turner and Sally Fallon called Performance without Pain, which was published in 2006 by New Trends. This book focuses on the modern dietary influences in common inflammatory and degenerative conditions in musicians, athletes, dancers and the general public. It presents a highly effective solution to healing that utilizes nutrient-dense, enzyme-rich, traditional foods. Since 2004, she has given more than 85 workshops around the country and appeared on numerous radio and television shows.
In 2009, Ms. Pirtle completed an e-book on acid reflux called Acid Reflux: a National Epidemic and Precursor to Chronic Illness–Achieving Lasting Healing with Nutrient Dense Foods. This is the first book that not only addresses holistic symptomatic treatment, but also the correction of the serious nutrient deficiencies that accompany any digestive disorder.
In 2010, she testified in Washington, DC against the new USDA Dietary Guidelines. In 2012 she was a speaker at the Wise Traditions Conference in London, England. She has been published in the Autism File Global, Advance Magazine (a publication for Physical Therapy), Wise Traditions, International Musician, the Clarinet and writes a blog on her website performancewithoutpain.com about issues relating to building health with nutrient-dense foods. She is also a delegate of health freedom and sustainable farming for the Canary Party, canaryparty.org.
Kathryne maintains a private studio, coaches chamber music, gives master classes in clarinet performance and pedagogy and lectures on artist career development and organizational development for not-for-profit chamber music groups. In addition, she has served on the faculties of Wheaton College Conservatory, Northern Illinois University, Bradley University and Indiana University.

Rosanne Lindsay, M.A., N.D.
Rosanne is a writer and Naturopathic Doctor, certified by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board. She is a graduate of Trinity School of Natural Health in Naturopathic Medicine and an advocate for natural health and healing, self-empowerment, and the freedom to choose one’s own foods. She is co-administrator for several midwest regional Raw Milk Facebook groups, and a board member to AP76, a non-profit group to raise awareness and funds for the purpose of defending the rights of those affected by unjust regulations and for educating the communities of Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
Prior to raising her three children, Rosanne earned an M.A. in the field of environmental health science and worked as an Environmental Scientist for the United States Environmental Protection Agency helping to write and enforce air pollution regulations. She has worked in local government and as a volunteer in the Madison, Wisconsin area to protect watersheds against runoff pollution, urban sprawl, the depletion of ground water, and to inform the community about the adverse health impacts which often accompany these changes. Her passion is to guide and empower others on their own path of health and healing.
The Amish Caretaker
Sam is an FHE Adviser and coordinator in the Youngstown, Ohio area. He studied criminal justice at Kaplan University online. Formerly ex-Amish for ten years, he returned to his roots in 2013. He is outspoken in the field of food and health freedom and enjoys reaching out on the telephone and radio programs. He is an author of an Amish cookbook and is a motivational speaker on surviving cancer and Amish culture. Sam is a quadriplegic from an assumed fatal horse-and-buggy accident 28 years ago. He is a two-time cancer survivor winning his last battle using natural protocols and has been cancer-free for over 20 years.
